Situated in the heart of Ambleside, one of the most picturesque villages of the English Lake District, this small family run guest house is surrounded by dramatic scenery and is only a short walk from the northern edge of Lake Windermere.

With this beautiful lake and the mountains at the doorstep, including Helvellyn, one of England’s highest peaks, there is always somewhere new to explore in this lovely region and you will never be short of something to do. 

Your hosts, Keith and Lindsey Morgan, have been running bed and breakfasts in Ambleside for over twelve years and will endeavour to make each and every guest’s stay at Norwood House as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. 

Being born and bred in Ambleside, the Morgan’s local knowledge, coupled with Keith’s experienced fell walking advice, will help you to make the most of this breath-takingly scenic part of the world!  Being a prominent member of the local Mountain Rescue Team, Keith is able to offer advice on walks to suit all abilities and can also provide guests with maps and guide books, along with a packed lunch for group bookings, if ordered in advance.
